HyperText Transfer Protocol over Secure Socket Layer (HTTPS) is a protocol for secure communication. It consists in the communication through the HTTP protocol (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) inside an encrypted connection supplying as key requisites:

2 protection of privacy (confidentiality or confidentiality)
3 integrity of the data exchanged between the communicating parties.
